I GET A WEIRD POP OR SQUEAL ON TURN ON

Periodically we have seen issues with our DSP150.4D amplifier and HD bikes. They show up as stange turn on “Pop/Squeal” noises. Sometimes incredibly loud Pop/Squeal noise (like blow your speakers up type!!!). It is only happening on few bikes, and TOTALLY random. And ONLY with the DSP150.4D. No one else has this issue because they don’t have a DSP as the front end. Our CX series amplifiers don’t have this issue either. Again…it is VERY random. So far we have heard about it maybe 20 times. And this PDF is the 100% solution (if you have the problem).

We have had people have this noise on one bike with a DSP150.4D. Sold that bike got a different bike, put the SAME DSP150.4D with the Pop/Squeal issue on the new bike and NO Pop/Squeal noise!!! Crazy!! Any who! First try the turn-on options….

Sometimes…. simply using an alternative turn on option (like DC or VOX ) solves the problem. If not…bring in the BIG guns!! And use this simple circuit with a normal 12V relay to momentary shut off the DSP150.4D and solve the Pop/Squeal noise!!!
